FAQ
Question: How do I adjust a bid I placed?
Answer: Customers cannot adjust or delete a bid once it has been entered.
Question: How do I place a proxy bid?
Answer: The steps for entering a proxy bid are the same as entering a regular bid. However, you will place the highest amount you are willing to pay for an item. There is no need to enter commas or dollar signs into the bid field.
Question: Sometimes I am immediately outbid. Why?
Answer: Because all maximum bids are hidden from other bidders, you do not know what any other bidder's maximum bid may be or when they placed it. Sometimes you will be outbid as soon as you enter your bid. This only occurs when another bidder had a higher maximum bid than yours.
However, if you place a bid and there are no competing bids against your bid, the system WILL NOT immediately go to your maximum bid. In fact, if you are the only bidder by the time the lot closes, you will win the lot for the lowest possible dollar amount (based on whatever the opening bid was for that item), not your max bid. So if you place a max bid of $25 on a lot with an opening bid of $1 and there are no other bidders vying for that lot, you will win it for $1. NOTE: This only happens when there are no competing bids.
Question: How do I know if my tax exemption file was accepted?
Answer: Go to your account, click on the Tax Exemptions tab, click on the Exemption List to view your tax exemption status.

Question: How do I know if an item can be shipped?
Answer: All items that are shippable will be called out in the item description. If a statement is not in the description an item CANNOT be shipped.
Question: What is Buyer’s Premium?
Answer: A buyer's premium is a percentage-based fee added to the winning hammer price. This helps cover the auctioneer’s expenses and administrative costs and off-sets credit card fees.
Question: Why am I suspended?
Answer: There are multiple reasons why a customer could be suspended: fail to pick up items, fail to pay invoice, inappropriate behavior, etc. If you wish to be unsuspended you will need to reach out to info@grasonsauctionswa.com
Question: Why is extra time being added to the clock?
Answer: A soft close adds extra time when bids are placed near the time that the sale begins to close to allow all bidders the same chance to win the item. It is like a live auction where an auctioneer asks “are there any more bids?”
Question: How can I change my payment method?
Answer: If you have multiple payment methods on file, you can change your payment method by selecting the radio button labeled Default Payment Method. If you need to add another payment method, you can just use the Add Payment Method button and vault with the same steps previously taken for your other method on file.
Question: How do I know if I am winning?
Answer: Within the auction site a Winning Bidder is shown under each item. If you are winning your bidder name will show here.
